Loss of Permanent Residence Status
- Misrepresentation -

If the Canadian government believes that an immigrant made a relevant omission or misrepresentation on their application for permanent residence, the immigrant can lose his or her status in Canada and be ordered deported. The immigrant's dependants can also be ordered deported.

In such cases, the immigrant is entitled to a hearing and an appeal.
